The Scouts' honor has been restored, and the truth has been revealed to the people. And even if those people are blissfully ignorant, Erwin’s testimony brings up an important agency that the people have, and might have forgotten: the right to disagree.Īs the coup dismantles the government, things start to look up for the Scouts and humanity. Literally and metaphorically, this government treats its people like cattle. The current ruling body in this world expects its populace to follow, as it always has. That's no surprise: Time and time again, even before Season 3, we’ve seen Erwin’s empathy and care for the survival of humanity. We’ve seen whispers throughout the season so far that Erwin has been clued into the false leadership for some time now, and has been plotting his own way to expose the corruption and lies, not only for himself, but the sake of the people.
